Day 7, 2011 - Thank God It's Friday

Yay! It's Friday! And it's Friday before a long weekend! Well, in Canberra anyway...

Alison got her skirt from our fellow workmate Claire at a clothes swap. it is a wrap around demin skirt with three panels of contrasting fabric in groovy green, purple and teal patterns. She matched the skirt with a grass green cardigan from the Salvo's at Fyshwick.

Libby's skirt is just basic black but the shirt is a brand new second hand silk number from Boston. The vintage shop claimed it was 1960s and the cut is very of that era. But the print is so 80s it's hard to believe it's anything but. The extra band is supposed to be a neck tie, but worn as a head scarf it ties in nicely with our friend Emma's special Frocktober celebration of scarfs.

As for Libby's giant hamster cheeks in the photo below - they are strangely reminiscent of another great memory from Boston, residing in the Natural History Museum.
