The travelling blue frock update

In it's final journey across the country, the blue frock made it to Lismore on the New South Wales north coast, but then travelled a bit further to Darwin! Being 100% polyester Dayle was a brave lady to take the frock challenge in such a humid place, but she gave the frock a swim and a wash in Buley Waterhole at the Litchfield National Park in the Northern Territory.

The frock made it's way back to Canberra a few weeks ago and it's still looking bright and shiny and blue as ever. Maybe I should return it to the Salvos in Fyshwick to complete it's journey.

The blue travelling frock travelled about 100kms across Victoria to beautiful Jaala, the youngest lady to don the frock. Doesn't she look gorgeous? Such a little lady!

Mrs Gow one of the many fabulous teachers at Hawkesdale College donned the blue frock before it hits the road and hopefully makes it up to north coast New South Wales before the end on Frocktober. Doesn't she look great?!

The dress travelled from Canberra all the way to a small South West Victorian town, where it seems my friend likes to mow the lawn in said dress.

My friend got the blue sparkly frock in the mail, but before I posted it I took a photo of myself in said frock. (My cat Princess Mofo had to get her head in the photo too...)

  1. Viva la revolution - Well done Alsion and Libby - you have certainly started something special. Frocktober 2010 will be well remembered in downtown Hawkesdale as a month of vintage garments getting an airing. Several teachers have already offered to don the said frock and organise a group fashionista photoshoot. Might even whip up some fondue and cucumber sandwiches for the occasion.

  4. I wish I'd had my 'step-ins' to wear this frock! We are planning a Frocktober morning tea-party for Friday, with muffins, sausage rolls, slice and real coffee.

  5. LOL love the lawn mower pose. Nothin like the thrill of fuel fumes mixed with grassy smell to get ya to kick up yer heels. Crackin shots. Woohoo! Hope the blue frock makes it up here!

  7. Freya, I don't think the frock is going to make it to Perth by the end of Frocktober, but I can still post it to you if you like.
