Day 2, 2011: Mudfest

Today was a bit of a mudfest at the Global Carnival, but the organisers made the best attempts to soak up the rain with hay. It kinda worked.

Most of the day I was covered up trying to protect myself from the elements, but underneath my many layers I had on double corduroy - jacket and skirt. Uber nerd status confirmed! I also had on my red and black striped leggings which I wore in Frocktober 2010 and my Tigerlily top which I got in a Maitland op shop. I like to think it is Mexican inspired, but more likely made in India.

We ended up covered in mud, but danced the night away to the Public Opinion Afro Orchestra. I thought their cover of the Fela Kuti song Water was fitting!
