Day 1, 2011: 1st of Frocktober

Well, here I am again at the Global Carnival in Bellingen for the start of Frocktober, and guess what? It's raining! Just like 2010, but this year it doesn't seem as bad and I am making an effort to stay out of a poncho. I'm just about to see Lotek and have a skanking good time inside a big tent with lovely folk. For the first day of Frocktober I'm wearing my Wayward Girl skirt I got from Blackbird Corner in Newcastle. How nice is it to see a label on clothing that says "Made In Newcastle". For warmth I wore my jumbo corduroy grass green Mossimo jacket and some red tights. Earlier in the day I had my hair tied up with my DJ's scarf I got in an op shop in Goulburn.
We survived the night and Lotek was as good as ever and so much fun dancing was had. As my tradition from last year is to include a song for the day, here is one of my favourites from Lotek's latest album, International Rudeboy. It is extremely good, I can't stop listening to it.
