Day 5, 2011: skirt alert!

Today was my first day back at work after five days off up on the north coast. All day I was meeting truck drivers, loading trucks and moving big orange crates for the next travelling exhibition I am working on. So as a veteran of Frocktober, I think I am allowed to wear lots of skirts with a bit of practicality.

I got this demin pleated skirt from the Vinnies in Gungahlin and it is great for bike riding. The little crop jacket came from the Vinnies in Surry Hills. I bought it when I went to Sydney to say goodbye to my good friend Mim, before she headed off to East Timor for two years. When I wear it I think of her. I teamed it with my Indian prayer shawl, Doc Martens boots and my mushroom brooch which my other lovely friend Toni gave me for my birthday a few years back.

Someone asked me how I did the detailed grid above. I used an app on my iPhone called PhotoShake! As I am travelling for the next two weeks, I think most of my posts will be via iPhone, so bear with me. Sometimes I can be a real Luddite!
